Stand4LIFE Oakland – January 21st

The 4th Annual Stand4LIFE in Oakland last Friday was powerful and sobering.  Walter B. Hoye II, founder of Issues4Life Foundation hosted Stand4LIFE in front of the Oakland City Hall.  In 2008, Walter B. Hoye was arrested and served time in jail for wrongful charges because of his stance for the unborn at a clinic, the  charges were dropped in 2009. A group of powerful speakers brought forth timely words on the subject of abortion, eugenics and the minority community.

Kevin McGary spoke on the plight of the African-American unborn with more African-Americans being aborted than birthed at this time.  He also shared his concern for the lack of African-American leaders in the Pro-LIFE arena, asking ‘where is the NAACP and the Black Caucas on the issue of eugenics? ”

Brian and Denise Walker shared a testimony of their abortion right before they got  married and how God has turned their ‘mess’ into their message.  They are post-abortion and marriage counselors.  Brian Walker also spoke on ‘is there a man in the house?’  It was poignant and powerful as he confessed he was only a male in their house and not a man in their house at the time of their abortion. Stating that if he were a man in the house, they would have gone straight to the Courthouse to get married and then “jumped the broom”.  It was a clarion call to the men to stand up for LIFE!

Dion E. Evans spoke on giving ourselves to this cause and supporting Walter B. Hoye II and he shared a new revelation that began with a recent connection on Facebook.  When Dion shared that he was preparing to speak at a Pro-LIFE Walk, his friend confessed that she had an abortion many years ago and that he was the father.  This news would have changed the direction of his whole life. Abortion has touched so many in our lives in numerous ways.  How many friends, peers and family members have had abortions?  How many countless people are missing from our lives? We have all been affected by abortion directly or indirectly considerably.

David Bereit,  National Director of 40 Days for Life, prayed for the Stand4LIFE walk before we marched for the unborn with an Oakland police escort.

I was suprised at the lack of support from the African-American community.  I thought I would be in the minority at this event, but that was not the case.  My hearts cry is for the African-American community to see that eugenics is an urgent issue for them to fight against. Lord, only You can reveal something that which is hidden.

Matthew 10:26-27 (NLT), ““But don’t be afraid of those who threaten you. For the time is coming when everything that is covered will be revealed, and all that is secret will be made known to all.  What I tell you now in the darkness, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!”

Lord, reveal all that is hidden! Bring Heavenly revelation of the plight of the unborn!

Abby Johnson webcast tonight!

Abby Johnson, former Director of Planned Parenthood will be speaking on her experience at Planned Parenthood tonight! She is considered the number one enemy of the  pr0-choice movement right now.

From Shawn Carney with 40 Days for Life –

“With 14,011 people already registered for tonight’s
webcast, to say that Planned Parenthood — America’s
largest abortion chain — is nervous would be an
understatement!

They know that the huge lawsuit and restraining order
they filed in a desperate attempt to silence their
former clinic director and employee of the year Abby
Johnson FAILED.

They know that TONIGHT, Monday, January 10, at 9 PM
Eastern, Abby is going to expose what she witnessed
during eight years climbing the ranks of the abortion
organization … and why she abandoned Planned
Parenthood and joined the pro-life movement:

http://www.UnplannedWebcast.com

And Planned Parenthood knows that TOMORROW, Abby’s
tell-all book hits bookstores everywhere, revealing
the truth about the abortion industry to the world.

Knowing how this information could shake up their
abortion empire, we strongly suspect that Planned
Parenthood has people signed up for tonight’s event.

That’s why it’s so important for us to MAX OUT the
remaining slots for the webcast and let Planned
Parenthood know that abortion’s days are numbered!

If you haven’t already registered for this FREE
event, there’s still time! Go to:

http://www.UnplannedWebcast.com

If you have already registered, please keep spreading
the word to anyone and everyone you can!

Originally we had 3,000 spots reserved for tonight’s
webcast, but at this moment, 14,011 people are signed
up to attend — far more than anyone ever expected!

Leaders and organizations are spreading the word like
crazy — we even just learned that Chuck Norris is
aggressively promoting tonight’s webcast with Abby
… Just when we thought we’d seen everything! 🙂

To accommodate the crowd, our webcast provider has
drastically expanded bandwidth and will now host the
event on their maximum capacity servers — making
room for a few thousand more people. Let’s show up
tonight in record numbers!

Together, we have an opportunity to send a clear
message to Planned Parenthood, the abortion industry,
and the secular media — that this will be a tipping
point moment in the efforts to bring an end to the
harm of abortion!

Divine Appointment at Abortion Clinic….from 40 Days for Life

wow……When God’s people pray…..God moves!  A divine appointment for a 40 Days for Life prayer volunteer  in front of a clinic!

From 40 Days for LIFE:

“If you’ve followed these reports, you may remember reading about Erin, the “wrong number” woman from Indianapolis. To quickly recap, Erin had scheduled an abortion last spring. She called to confirm her appointment — or so she thought. But she didn’t reach Planned Parenthood. The phone that rang belonged to a 40 Days for Life volunteer who was praying outside the abortion center! To make a long story short, Erin canceled her abortion and her daughter was born just a few days before this campaign started. This is Elena, Erin’s baby:

But there’s more! Prayer volunteers recently met Lori, who had driven four hours from Kentucky for a counseling session — the first step in the abortion process. The vigil participants quickly got in touch with Elizabeth, the pro-life counselor who had helped Erin. Elizabeth learned that Lori had a small child … and was still suffering from a previous abortion. Lori appreciated the offers of help, but still had doubts about keeping her baby. So Elizabeth called Erin! “Erin helped Lori to have the courage to trust God and choose life for her unborn baby,” said Eileen in Indianapolis. “Erin was pleased to be able to help someone else.” Please pray for Erin, Lori and all those who are tempted to “choose” abortion.”

The Birth of Bound4LIFE Oakland

In May, as I was getting ready to move to the East Bay, a burden for starting a chapter of Bound4LIFE in Oakland began in my heart.  With TheCall Sac and other duties at IHOP East Bay, I had all but forgotten about this new burden (it was God’s provision – allowing for a smooth transition into a new season).  When Jehu’s ride  came through IHOP East Bay, Jason, a IHOP intercessory missionary,  passionately interceded on the prayer mic for Oakland.  My heart began to awaken, although I still did not remember the burden had God laid on my heart for  Bound4LIFE Oakland.

At TheCall Sac, many African-American leaders spoke on the plight of the decrease in the African-American population due to the rate of abortion vs. live births.  God had been gripping my heart with His burden for the African-American community for a few years now and I am willing to do something about it.  Last Friday during our intercession set for the church of the region, I had a burden to pray for Oakland – for the ‘oaks of righteousness’ ro rise up with their roots grounded in the love of God and their branches reaching up to praise the one true God. Also, Psalm 34:17-18…..

” The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;  he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”

After praying this prayer, I went into the back corner and went into travail as another intercessor picked up the mic and interceded for revival in Oakland, praying  “There is a key to the revival in the churches of Oakland.”  As she prayed this, I saw the words “Bound4LIFE Oakland” and wept even harder.  The burden of the Lord came flooding back.  I knew what I was to do.  there are probably a few keys to open up Oakland, interceding for MERCY over the shedding of innocent blood im my part.  God’s heart is breaking for Oakland!  But God!  He has a plan for abortion….He has a plan to cultivate a culture of LIFE in Oakland – intercession and adoption.  His plan is always redemptive and breeds a culture of LIFE!

A video from TheCall Sac (a little  shaky for first minute)-

A video about the adoption movement in Texas (from one church) –

On Saturday night,  Jason,  Hina  (IHOP East Bay intercessory missionary) and I took a 25 mile trip to Oakland to scout out the land. We wanted to check out the Planned Parenthood clinic we will be sieging and pray LIFE over the city.   A vista in the Oakland hills was a perfect place for speaking blessings over Oakland. The Nazarites will arise in Oakland and be the intercession for the shedding of innocent blood in their community!

Earlier in the week, I had a dream that an African-American man serving food in Oakland handed me a metal fork, spoon and knife wrapped in a napkin and said,  “Stick this in His temple!” So,  I read Judges 5, the song Deborah sings after victory over King Jabin who had oppressed the Israelites fo too long.

“On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song: Israel’s leaders took charge, and the people gladly followed. Praise the Lord! “Listen, you kings! Pay attention, you mighty rulers! For I will sing to the Lord. I will make music to the Lord, the God of Israel. “Lord, when you set out from Seir and marched across the fields of Edom, the earth trembled, and the cloudy skies poured down rain. The mountains quaked in the presence of the Lord, the God of Mount Sinai— in the presence of the Lord, the God of Israel. “In the days of Shamgar son of Anath, and in the days of Jael, people avoided the main roads, and travelers stayed on winding pathways. There were few people left in the villages of Israel — until Deborah arose as a mother for Israel. When Israel chose new gods,  war erupted at the city gates. Yet not a shield or spear could be seen among forty thousand warriors in Israel! My heart is with the commanders of Israel, with those who volunteered for war. Praise the Lord! “Consider this, you who ride on fine donkeys, you who sit on fancy saddle blankets, and you who walk along the road.  Listen to the village musicians  gathered at the watering holes.  They recount the righteous victories of the Lord and the victories of his villagers in Israel.  Then the people of the Lord marched down to the city gates. “Wake up, Deborah, wake up! Wake up, wake up, and sing a song! Arise, Barak!  Lead your captives away, son of Abinoam! “Down from Tabor marched the few against the nobles.  The people of the Lord marched down against mighty warriors.  They came down from Ephraim— a land that once belonged to the Amalekites; they followed you, Benjamin, with your troops.  From Makir the commanders marched down; from Zebulun came those who carry a commander’s staff. The princes of Issachar were with Deborah and Barak. They followed Barak, rushing into the valley. But in the tribe of Reuben there was great indecision. Why did you sit at home among the sheepfolds— to hear the shepherds whistle for their flocks? Yes, in the tribe of Reuben there was great indecision. Gilead remained east of the Jordan. And why did Dan stay home? Asher sat unmoved at the seashore, remaining in his harbors. But Zebulun risked his life, as did Naphtali, on the heights of the battlefield. “The kings of Canaan came and fought, at Taanach near Megiddo’s springs, but they carried off no silver treasures.  The stars fought from heaven. The stars in their orbits fought against Sisera.  The Kishon River swept them away— that ancient torrent, the Kishon. March on with courage, my soul! Then the horses’ hooves hammered the ground, the galloping, galloping of Sisera’s mighty steeds. ‘Let the people of Meroz be cursed,’ said the angel of the Lord. ‘Let them be utterly cursed, because they did not come to help the Lord— to help the Lord against the mighty warriors.’  “Most blessed among women is Jael, the wife of Heber the Kenite. May she be blessed above all women who live in tents. Sisera asked for water, and she gave him milk. In a bowl fit for nobles, she brought him yogurt. Then with her left hand she reached for a tent peg, and with her right hand for the workman’s hammer. She struck Sisera with the hammer, crushing his head. With a shattering blow, she pierced his temples. He sank, he fell, he lay still at her feet. And where he sank, there he died. “From the window Sisera’s mother looked out. Through the window she watched for his return, saying, ‘Why is his chariot so long in coming? Why don’t we hear the sound of chariot wheels?’ “Her wise women answer, and she repeats these words to herself: ‘They must be dividing the captured plunder— with a woman or two for every man. There will be colorful robes for Sisera, and colorful, embroidered robes for me. Yes, the plunder will include colorful robes embroidered on both sides.’  “Lord, may all your enemies die like Sisera! But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!  Then there was peace in the land for forty years.”

While we were praying a group of young adults pulled up ” to party” right behind us as we started to pray.  While were walking away from the vista, I heard one of the girls say, “I was just too young, my baby would be five years old now.”   I stopped walking not able to move.   After inquiring of the Lord on what He wanted me to do, I felt He answered, “tell her I forgive her.”  So, we walked back to the group and introduced ourselves.  The three girls and young man  asked if we  had been praying. After we answered yes,  we were praying over Oakland, they thanked us, because people are ‘getting killed for no reason out there.’   The young man, Te, stated that they had been talking about this all day, about how bad it is and how something needs to be done.  Jason prayed for Te as Hina and I spoke with Linda, Jaslyn and Kathy.  We asked  Jaslyn, the girl who spoke of her abortion (also the most intoxicated),  if she wanted prayer for what she was talking about before.  She let us know that ‘she was just too young when she had her abortion and that she did not regret it at all.’  In our conversation with her, God graciously gave us the words to let her know that He loves her and she could never do anything that would separate her from Him.  Linda and Kathy wanted prayer, so Hina and I prayed for them as Jaslyn would say….”oh and pray for Linda’s dad, Ly…..oh and pray for Kathy’s dad too, he has a bad liver, like me”.   Before, we left we prayed for Jaslyn as well.  Wow…God’s faithfulness is amazing!  He gave us fruit of Oakland as we stood in the gap for Oakland!  We are expectant!

In Christ’ s love,

 deborah

Another abortion clinic closes…..

Just in from 40 Days for LIFE campaign:

“”It’s official!” reads the message from Michael, the local 40 Days for Life coordinator in Severna Park, Maryland.

“We have confirmed that Gynecare is closed,” he wrote, “and will not reopen its doors. The office suite that  Gynecare has operated in for years is already listed for rent, and we have confirmed with the listing agent that the current tenant will be completely out of the office soon!”

For the seventh time now, the Lord has responded to 40 Days for Life volunteers’ prayers by closing the doors of a place where countless numbers of innocent lives were lost!!!

40 Days for Life came to Severna Park in the fall of 2008, and the focus from the beginning had been this Gynecare abortion facility.

However, the campaign faced a significant hurdle. The center was located in a private development, and the closest the volunteers could get was several hundred yards away.

But they prayed … and they prayed … and they prayed, that God would end abortions at this facility. “God has heard our prayers and has moved; but we still aren’t done yet,” said Michael. “We need to continue to sing to and praise God for the answers and grace that He has shown these past few months. Countless lives have been saved and will be saved because of the closing of Gynecare in Severna Park!””
